We gave the world’s oldest living language, a refresh.

The Hellenic Studies Foundation is an Australian organisation dedicated to preserving and fostering Greek traditions and culture through the world’s oldest living language.

The Foundation collaborates closely with educational institutions to enhance accessibility and quality of Greek language programs ensuring future generations of Australians can embrace a language that forms the basis of over 30% of English words.

We were tasked to completely redesign the Foundation’s identity including a new brand mark, a new website, stationery, social platforms and various other collateral. With our primary audience being a younger generation, we introduced a friendly, warm and inviting tone across all communications that incorporated large type, fun language and vibrant colours.

The inspiration for the brand mark came from the Greek ‘Anthemio’ which is established as a symbol of wealth, prosperity and abundance. We grounded these elements with an an open book representing teaching and knowledge.

The website was completely redesigned and became an interactive experience that cleverly incorporated key English words in the headlines that converted to their Greek origin – reiterating the high usage of Greek words in today’s world.
